NEW SERIES
AN ORDINANCE OF THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
BAKERSFIELD AMENDING SECTION 14.40.040(a)
OF TITLE 14 OF THE BAKERSFIELD MUNICIPAL
CODE CONCERNING FIREWORKS.
BE IT ORDAINED by the Council of the City of Bakersfield
as follows:
SECTION 1.
That Section 14.40.040(a) of Title 14 of the Municipal
Code of the City of Bakersfield is amended to read as follows:
14.40.040 Application Requirements.
(a) Any application for a permit shall be filed by an officer
of an eligible nonprofit organization or corporation or the operator
or authorized employee of an eligible retail business establishment,
with the City Finance Director, hereinafter called the Collector, in
person and in writing, between March 15 and May 15 of each year.
SECTION 2.
This ordinance shall become effective
after the date of its passage.

I HEREBY CERTIFY that the foregoing ordinance was passed
and adopted by the Council of the City of Bakersfield at a regular
meeting thereof held on the 20th day of June, 1977, by the following
