AN ORDINANCE AMENDING TITLE SEVENTEEN OF THE
MUNICIPAL CODE OF THE CITY OF BAKERSFIELD BY
CHANGING THE LAND USE ZONING OF THAT CERTAIN
PROPERTY IN THE CITY OF BAKERSFIELD LOCATED
NORTH OF AUBURN STREET AND WEST OF EISSLER
STREET.
WHEREAS, in accordance with the procedure set forth in
the provisions of Title 17 of the Municipal Code of the City of
Bakersfield, the Planning Commission and City Council have held
hearings respectively, on a petition to change the land use zoning
of that certain property in the City of Bakersfield located north
of Auburn Street and west of Eissler Street; and
WHEREAS, the City Council has determined after due con-
sideration of said petition and the reco~mLLendations of the Planning
Commission herein on file, together with the reasons advanced at the
hearings for a change of zoning of said property, that a zoning change
should be authorized; and
WHEREAS, the City Council has determined and found that
this zoning ordinance is consistent with the General Plan of the
City of Bakersfield.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED by the Council of the City
of Bakersfield as follows:
That Section 17.12.020 (Zoning Map) of the Municipal Code
of the City of Bakersfield, be and the same is hereby amended by
changing the land use zoning of certain property in said City, the
boundaries of which property are shown on the map hereto attached
and made a part hereof, as follows:
Amending the zoning boundaries from an R-1 (One
Family Dwelling) Zone to an R-2-D (Limited Multiple
Family Dwelling - Architectural Design) Zone of
that certain property in the City of Bakersfield
located north of Auburn Street and west of Eissler
Street, being more particularly described as follows:
The following parcels located in the City of
Bakersfield within Section 14, Township 28 S.,
Range 28 E., M.D.B.& M., more particularly des-
cribed as follows:
PARCEL I
Beginning at the south quarter corner of said
Section 14, being on the centerline of Auburn
Street. Said quarter corner is the True Point of
Beginning for this parcel; thence north 00°01'13"
west, along the north-south midsection line of said
Section 14, 1,337.06 feet to the north line of the
southeast 1/4 of the southwest 1/4 of said Section
14; thence north 89°19'02" east along said north
line of the southeast 1/4 of the southwest 1/4 of
Section 14 a distance of 205.02 feet; thence south
0~01'13" east, 921.57 feet; thence south 89°17'26"
west, 40.01 feet; thence south 00~01'13" east, a
distance of 415.00 feet to the south line of said
Section 14, and the centerline of Auburn Street;
thence south 89o17'26" west, along the south line
of said Section 14, and the centerline of Auburn
Street 165.00 feet, to the True Point of Beginning.
PARCEL II
Beginning at the south quarter corner of said
Section 14; thence north 89°17'26" east along
the south line of said Section 14, and the center-
line of Auburn Street 545.00 feet to the True Point
of Beginning; thence continuing north 89o17'26"
east along the centerline of Auburn Street 115.98
feet to the center of the intersection of Auburn
Street and Eissler Street; thence north 00o01'09"
west, along the centerline of Eissler Street, 375.00
feet, thence south 89~17'26" west, 115.98 feet;
thence south 00°01'13" east, a distance of 375.00
feet to the south line of said Section 14 and the
centerline of Auburn Street, to the True Point of
Beginning.

I HEREBY CERTIFY that the foregoing ordinance was passed
and adopted by the Council of the City of Bakersfield at a regular
meeting thereof held on the 16th day of May, 1977, by the following
vote:
