NEW SERIES
AN ORDINANCE AMENDING SECTION 17.12.020 OF
CHAPTER 17.12 (ZONING MAP) OF THE MUNICIPAL
CODE OF THE CITY OF BAKERSFIELD.
WHEREAS, in accordance with the procedure set forth in
the provisions of Title 17 of the Municipal Code of the City of
Bakersfield, the Planning Commission and City Council have held
hearings respectively, on a motion to zone certain property now
being annexed to said City, and
WHEREAS, the City Council has determined after due con-
sideration of the motion and recommendation of the Planning Commission,
herein on file, together with the reasons advanced at the hearing for
the zoning of said property, that said zoning should be authorized
upon annexation of said property to the City.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED by the Council of the City
of Bakersfield, as follows:
SECTION I.
That Section 17.12.020 of Chapter 17.12 (Zoning Map) of
the Municipal Code of the City of Bakersfield, be and the same is
hereby amended by extending the boundaries of said map to include
those certain properties in the County of Kern located on the
Northeast corner of Ming Avenue and Hughes Lane, and known as Ming
No. 8 Annexation, in an R-3-D (Limited Multiple Family Dwelling-
Architectural Design), or more restrictive, Zone; a C-1-D (Limited
Commercial-Architectural Design), or more restrictive, Zone, upon
the annexation of said property to the City of Bakersfield, the
boundaries of which property are shown on the map hereto attached
and made a part of this ordinance, and are more specifically
described as follows:

Architectural Design), or more restrzctive, Zone:
Parcel 1:
The North 151 feet of the South 396 feet of the
West 165 feet of Southeast 1/4 of Section No. 1,
Township 30 South, Range 27 East, M.D.B.& M.
To a C-1-D (Limited Commercial-Architectural
Design), or more restrictive, Zone:
Parcel 2:
The South 245 feet of the West
Southeast 1/4 of Section No. 1,
South, Range 27 East, M.D.B.&M.
190 feet of the
Township 30
EXCEPTING THEREFROM the right-of-way within
streets.
SECTION 2.
This ordinance shall become effective upon the annexation
of the above-described territory to the City of Bakersfield.

I HEREBY CERTIFY that the foregoing ordinance was passed
and adopted by the Council of the City of Bakersfield at a regular
meeting thereof held on the 16th day of May, 1977, by the
