NEW SERIES
AN ORDINANCE AMENDING TITLE SEVENTEEN OF THE
MUNICIPAL CODE OF THE CITY OF BAKERSFIELD BY
CHANGING THE LAND USE ZONING OF THAT CERTAIN
PROPERTY IN THE CITY OF BAKERSFIELD LOCATED
ON THE NORTHWEST CORNER OF STOCKDALE HIGHWAY
AND MONTCLAIR STREET.
WHEREAS, in accordance with the procedure set forth in
the provisions of Title 17 of the Municipal Code of the City of
Bakersfield, the Planning Commission and City Council have held
hearings respectively, on a petition to change the land use zoning
of that certain property in the City of Bakersfield located on the
northwest corner of Stockdale Highway and Montclair Street; and
WHEREAS, the City Council has determined after due con-
sideration of said petition and the recommendations of the Planning
Commission herein on file, together with the reasons advanced at
the hearings for a change of zoning of said property, that a zoning
change should be authorized; and
WHEREAS, the City Council has determined and found that
this zoning ordinance is consistent with the General Plan of the
City of Bakersfield.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED by the Council of the City
of Bakersfield as follows:
That Section 17.12.020 (Zoning Map) of the Municipal Code
of the City of Bakersfield, be and the same is hereby amended by
changing the land use zoning of certain property in said City, the
boundaries of which property are shown on the map hereto attached
and made a part hereof, as follows:
Amending the zoning boundaries from an A
(Agricultural) Zone to a C-O-D (Commer-
cial and Professional Office-Architectural
Design), or more restrictive, zone of that
certain property in the City of Bakersfield
located on the northwest corner of Stock-
dale Highway and Montclair Street, being
more particularly described as follows:
That portion of Section 35, Township 29
South, Range 27 East, Mount Diablo Meri-
dian, bounded as follows:
On the south by the north right-of-way line
of Stockdale Highway; on the east by the
westerly right-of-way line of Montclair
Street; on the north by the southerly line
and the westerly prolongation thereof, of
Tract 3504 as per map thereof recorded
June 11, 1971 in Book 21 of Maps at pages
133 and 134; and on the west by the east line
of Parcel Map 2590 as per map thereof recorded
November 19, 1974 in Book 12 of Parcel Maps at
page 7, in the Office of the Kern County
Recorder.

I HEREBY CERTIFY that the foregoing ordinance was passed
and adopted by the Council of the City of Bakersfield at a regular
meeting thereof held on the 9th day of May, 1977, by the following
vote:
