AN ORDINANCE AMENDING SECTION 17.12.020 OF
CHAPTER 17.12 (ZONING MAP) OF THE MUNICIPAL
CODE OF THE CITY OF BAKERSFIELD.
WHEREAS, in accordance with the procedure set forth in
the provisions of Title 17 of the Municipal Code of the City of
Bakersfield, the Planning Con~nission and City Council have held
hearings respectively, on a motion of the Planning Commission to
zone certain property now being annexed to said City; and
WHEREAS, the City Council has determined after due con-
sideration of the motion and the recommendation of the Planning
Commission, herein on file, together with the reasons advanced at
the hearing for the zoning of said property, that said zonin~ should
be authorized upon annexation of said property to the City.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED by the Council of the City
of Bakersfield as follows:
SECTION 1.
That Section 17.12.020 of Chapter 17.12 (Zoning Map) of
the Municipal Code of the City of Bakersfield, be and the same is
hereby amended by extending the boundaries of said map to include
those certain properties in the County of Kern located east of Manor
Street and north of the Kern River Bluffs, and known as Manor No. 1
Annexation, in an RS-2-1/2-A~CH-FP-S (Residential Suburban-2-1/2 Acre-
Church-Flood Plain-Secondary) Zone; in an RS-2-1/2~A-FP-S (Residential
Suburban-2-1/2 Acre-Flood Plain-Secondary) Zone, upon the annexation
of said property to the City of Bakersfield, the boundaries of which
property are shown on the map hereto attached and made a part of
this ordinance, and are more specifically described as follows:
To an RS-2-1/2-A-CH-FP-S ~R~sidential Suburban-
2-1/2 Acre-Church-Flood Plain-Secondary) Zone:
Parcels 1 and 2 of Parcel Map 2565, City of
Bakersfield, County of Kern, State of California,
as per Map recorded February 19, 1975, in Parcel
Map Book 12, Page 188 in the office of the County
Recorder of said county.
To an RS-2-1/2-A-FP-S (Residential Suburban-
2-1/2 Acre-Flood Plain-Secondary) Zone:
A parcel of land situate in the County of Kern,
State of California, and being a portion of
Sections 17 and 18, Township 29 South, Range
28 East, M.D.B.& M., more particularly des-
cribed as follows:
Con~nencing at the northeast corner of said
Section 18; thence S 0°55'17"E, 2681.21 feet,
to the west one-quarter corner of said Section
17, being the true point of beginning;
Thence (1) S 89°03'17"E, along the south line
of the NW 1/4 of said Section 17, 676.14 feet,
to intersect the Corporate Boundary of the
City of Bakersfield;
Thence (2) along said Corporate Boundary the
following 6 courses; S 54 25'25'~, 496.05 feet;
Thence (3) S 63°10'35'~, 633.24 feet;
Thence (4) S 46°23'53"W, 518.380 feet, to inter-
sect the east right-of-way line of Manor Street,
of 150 feet in width;
Thence (5) S 63°52'25'~, 150.00 feet, to inter-
sect the west right-of-way line of said Manor
Street;
Thence (6) N 26°07'35'~, 342.40 feet to the
beginning of a tangent curve, concave to the
southwest, the radial center bears S 65°00'23"
W, 2948 feet;
Thence (7) northwesterly along said curve,
through a central angle 10°48'13" an arc dis-
tance of 555.871 feet;
Thence (~) departing from said. Corporate Bound-
ary N 54 12'10"E, 150 feet to intersect the east
right-of-way line of said Manor Street, being the
beginning of a curve, concave to the southeast and
having a radius of 720 feet; and from which inter-
section the radial point of the said curve bears
S 30°21'0"E;
Thence (9) easterly along said curv? through a
central angle of 11o29'43" an arc distance of
144.45 feet, to intersect the south line of the
north 30 feet of the SE 1/4 of said Section 18;

EXCEPTING THEREFROM Parcels 1 and 2 of Parcel
Map 2565, City of Bakersfield, County of Kern,
State of California, as per Map recorded February
19, 1975, in Parcel Map Book 12, Page 188, in the
office of the County Recorder of said County.
SECTION 2.
This ordinance shall become effective upon the annexation
of the above-described territory to the City of Bakersfield.

I HEREBY CERTIFY that the foregoing ordinance was passed
and adopted by the Council of the City of Bakersfield at a regular
meeting thereof held on the 2d day of May, 1977, by the following
vote:
