HomeMy WebLinkAboutORD NO 2325ORDINANCE NO. 2325 NEW SERIES AN ORDINANCE AMENDING TITLE SEVENTEEN OF THE MUNICIPAL CODE OF THE CITY OF BAKERSFIELD BY CHANGING THE LAND USE ZONING OF THAT CERTAIN PROPERTY IN THE CITY OF BAKERSFIELD LOCATED SOUTH OF MING AVENUE AND WEST OF ASHE ROAD. WHEREAS, in accordance with the procedure set forth in the provisions of Title 17 of the Municipal Code of the City of Bakersfield, the Planning Commission and City Council have held hearings respectively, on a petition to change the land use zoning of that certain property in the City of Bakersfield located south of Ming Avenue and west of Ashe Road; and WHEREAS, the City Council has determined after due con- sideration of said petition and the recommendations of the Planning Commission herein on file, together with the reasons advanced at the hearings for a change of zoning of said property, that a zoning change should be authorized; and WHEREAS, the City Council has determined and found that this zoning ordinance is consistent with the General Plan of the City of Bakersfield. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED by the Council of the City of Bakersfield as follows: That Section 17.12.020 (Zoning Map) of the Municipal Code of the City of Bakersfield, be and the same is hereby amended by changing the land use zoning of certain property in said City, the boundaries of which property are shown on the map hereto attached and made a part hereof, as follows: Amending the zoning boundaries from an A (Agricul- tural) Zone to an R-1 (One Family Dwelling) Zone; from an A (Agricultural) Zone to an R-2-D (Limited Multiple Family Dwelling-Architectural Desi~) Zone; from an A (Agricultural) Zone and a C-2-D (Commercial- Architectural Design) Zone to an R-3-D (Limited Multiple Family Dwelling-Architectural Design) Zone;from an A (Agricultural) Zone to a C-2-D (Commercial-Architectural Design) Zone, of those certain properties in the City of Bakersfield, located south of Ming Avenue and west of Ashe Road, being more particularly described as follows: Fro~ an A ~A~ricultural) Zone to an R-1 (One Family I)welllng) Zone. That portion of the east 1/2 of Section 9, Township 30 South, Range 27 East, M.D.M., in the County of Kern, State of California, being more particularly described as follows: Beginning at the intersection of the center- lines of Ming Avenue and Barrington Street; thence, along the centerline of Barrington Street, south 08°26'00" west, 636.79 feet to the beginning of a tangent curve, concave to the southeast, having a radius of 300.00 feet; thence southwesterly, on and along said curve, through a central angle of 08°29'18", an arc distance of 44.44 feet; thence south 00°03'18" east, 50.00 feet; thence north 89°56'42" east, 477.02 feet; thence south 00°03'18" east, 1,546.25 feet; thence south 89o56'42" west, 1,845.00 feet; thence north 00°03'18" west, 1,686.51 feet; thence north 28°12'17" east, 231.32 feet; thence south 70o46'00" east, 127.00 feet; thence south 82°45'00" east, 206.85 feet; thence north 24o26'52" east, 289.01 feet to a point on a nontangent curve, concave to the northeast, having a radius of 2,665.00 feet, from which the radial point of said curve bears north 27°34'00" east; thence northwesterly, on and along said curve, through a central angle of 00°38'17", an arc distance of 29.68 feet; thence north 61o47'43" west, 120.00 feet; thence north 28°12'17" east, 465.00 feet to a point on the centerline of Ming Avenue aforementioned; thence south 61o47'43" east, on and along said centerline, 120.00 feet to the beginning of a tangent curve, concave to the northeast, having a radius of 2,200.00 feet; thence southeasterly, on and along said curve and centerline of Ming Avenue, through a central angle of 19°46'17", an arc distance of 759.17 feet, more or less, to the centerline of Barrington Street and the point of beginning.
