AN ORDINANCE AMENDING TITLE SEVENTEEN OF
THE MUNICIPAL CODE OF THE CITY OF BAKERS-
FIELD BY CHANGING THE LAND USE ZONING OF
THAT CERTAIN PROPERTY IN THE CITY OF
BAKERSFIELD LOCATED ON THE NORTHWEST
CORNER OF HARRIS ROAD AND STINE ROAD.
WHEREAS, in accordance with the procedure set forth in
the provisions of Title 17 of the Municipal Code of the City of
Bakersfield, the Planning Cormmission and City Council have held
hearings respectively, on a petition to change the land use zoning
of that certain property in the City of Bakersfield located on the
northwest corner of Harris Road and Stine Road; and
WHEREAS, the City Council has determined after due con-
sideration of said petition and the recommendations of the Planning
Commission herein on file, together with the reasons advanced at
the hearings for a change of zoning of said property, that a zoning
change should be authorized; and
WHEREAS, the City Council has determined and. found that
this zoning ordinance is consistent with the General Plan of the
City of Bakersfield.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED by the Council of the City
of Bakersfield as follows:
That Section 17.12.020 (Zoning Map) of the Municipal Code
of the City of Bakersfield, be and the same is hereby amended by
changing the land use zoning of certain property in said City,
the boundaries of which property are shown on the map hereto
attached and made a part hereof, as follows:
Amending the zoning boundaries from an A
(Agricultural) Zone to an MH (Mobilehome),
Zone, of that certain property located on
the northwest corner of Harris Road and
Stine Road, being more particularly des-
cribed as follows:
That portion of the southeast 1/4 of the
northeast 1/4 of Section 22, Township 30
south, Range 27 east, M.D.B.& M., in the
City of Bakersfield, County of Kern, State
of California, described as follows:
Beginning at a point on the east line of
said southeast 1/4 of the northeast 1/4 of
Section 22. Said point being 1023.00 feet
north of the southeast corner of said south-
east 1/4 of the northeast 1/4 of Section 22~
thence westerly parallel with the south line
of said southeast 1/4 of the northeast 1/4 of
Section 22 a distance of 330.00 feet. Thence
southerly parallel with the east line of said
southeast 1/4 of Section 22 a distance of
528.00 feet; thence easterly along a line
parallel with the south line of said south-
east 1/4 of the northeast 1/4 of Section 22
to a point on the west line of "Farmers Canal"
thence southerly along ~he west line of s~id
"Farmers Canal" to a point on the south line
of said southeast 1/4 of northeast 1/4 of
Section 22; thence west along the south line
of said southeast 1/4 of the northeast 1/4
of Section 22 a distance of 1065 more or less
feet to the southwest corner of said south-
east 1/4 of northeast 1/4 of Section 22;
thence northerl along the west line of
said southeast {/4 of northeast 1/4 of
Section 22, a distance of 1359.00+ feet
to the northwest corner of said s~utheast
1/4 of the northeast 1/4 of Section 22.
Thence easterly along the north line of
said southeast 1/4 of the northeast 1/4 of
Section 22, a distance of 1320 more or less
feet to the northeast corner of said south-
east 1/4 of northeast 1/4 of Section 22;
thence southerly along the east line of said
southeast 1/4 of the northeast 1/4 of Section
22, a distance of 336 more or less feet to the
point of beginning containing 35.3 acres more
or less.
EXCEPTING THEREFROM the right-of-way within
Stine Road.

I HEREBY CERTIFY that the foregoing ordinance was passed
and adopted by the Council of the City of Bakersfield at a regular
meeting thereof held on the 10th day of January, 1977, by the follow-
ing vote:
