AN ORDINANCE AMENDING CHAPTER 5.20 OF THE
MUNICIPAL CODE BY ADDING SECTION 5.20.125.
BE IT ORDAINED by the Council of the City of Bakersfield
as follows:
SECTION 1.
Chapter 5.20 of the Municipal Code is amended by adding
Section 5.20.125 to read as follows:
5.20.125 Exception. To the extent that the procedures set forth
in chapter 5.20 for purchasing supplies, equipment and incidental
services differ from the procedures contained in the agreement by
and between the City and California Water Service Company for the
operation of the Kern Island Water Company system, this chapter shall
not be applicable.

SECTION 2.
This ordinance shall become effective thirty days
the date of its passage.
