HomeMy WebLinkAboutORD NO 2306 ORDINANCE NO. 2306 NEW SERIES AN ORDINANCE AMENDING SECTION 17.12.020 OF CHAPTER 17.12 (ZONING MAP) OF THE MUNICIPAL CODE OF THE CITY OF BAKERSFIELD. WHEREAS, in accordance with the procedure set forth in the provisions of Title 17 of the Municipal Code of the City of Bakersfield, the Planning Commission and City Council have held hearings respectively, on a motion of the Planning Commission to zone certain property now being annexed to said City; and WHEREAS, the City Council has determined after due con- sideration of the motion and the reconmaendation of the Planning Coum~ission, herein on file, together with the reasons advanced at the hearing for the zoning of said property, that said zoning should be authorized upon annexation of said property to the City. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED by the Council of the City of Bakersfield as follows: SECTION 1. That Section 17.12.020 of Chapter 17.12 (Zoning Map) of the Municipal Code of the City of Bakersfield, be and the same is hereby amended by extending the boundaries of said map to include those certain properties in the County of Kern located between Talisman Drive on the north and Ming Avenue on the south, known as Ming No. 7 Annexation, in an R-1 (One Family Dwelling) upon the annexation of said property to the City of Bakersfield., the boundaries of which property are shown on the map hereto attached. and made a part of this ordinance, and are more specifically described as follows: To an R-1 (One Family Dwelling) Zone: A parcel of land situate in the County of Kern, State of California, and being a portion of the southeast quarter of Section 1, Township 30 South, Range 27 East, M.D.B.& M. and being more particu- larly described as follows: Beginning at a point which is 30 feet north and 30 feet west of the southeast corner of said Section 1 said point being in the Corporate Boundary of the City of Bakersfield; Thence (1) westerly, and along the various courses of the said Corporate Boundary to intersect the north line of the south 660 feet of the said south- east quarter at a point 833 feet, more or less, as measured along last-named north line, westerly of the east line of said southeast quarter; Thence (2) departing from said Corporate Boundary, easterly along last-named north line 173 feet, more or less, to intersect the west line of the east 660 feet of said southeast quarter, said west line also being the west line of Tract 1874, recorded in Book 9 of Maps, page 89, in the office of the Kern County Recorder; Thence (3) southerly, along the last-named west line, 605 feet, to intersect the north line of the south 55 feet of said southeast quarter, said last-named north line also being the north line of Ming Avenue, 110 feet in width; Thence (4) easterly, along the last-named north line and north line of said Ming Avenue, 630 feet to intersect the west line of the east 30 feet of said southeast quarter, said point being in the said Corporate Boundary of the City of Bakersfield; Thence (5) southerly along said Corporate Boundary 25 feet to the point of beginning; Containing 2.83 acres, more or less. SECTION 2. This ordinance becomes effective upon the annexation of the above-described territory to the City of Bakersfield. .......... o0o ..........
