AN ORDINANCE AMENDING TITLE SEVENTEEN OF THE
MUNICIPAL CODE OF THE CITY OF BAKERSFIELD BY
CHANGING THE LAND USE ZONING OF THAT CERTAIN
PROPERTY IN THE CITY OF BAKERSFIELD COMMONLY
KNOWN AS LOTS 23 THROUGH 31, TRACT 3846.
WHEREAS, in accordance with the procedure set forth in
the provisions of Title 17 of the Municipal Code of the City of
Bakersfield, the Planning Commission and City Council have held
hearings respectively, on a petition to change the land use zoning
of that certain property in the City of Bakersfield cmmonly known
as Lots 23 through 31, Tract 3846; and
WHEREAS, the City Council has determined after due con-
sideration of said petition and the recormnendations of the Planning
Co~,ission herein on file, together with the reasons advanced at
the hearings for a change of zoning of said property, that a zoning
change should be authorized; and
WHEREAS, the City Council has determined and found that
this zoning ordinance is consistent with the General Plan of the
City of Bakersfield.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED by the Council of the City
of Bakersfield as follows:
That Section 17.12.020 (Zoning Map) of the Municipal Code
of the City of Bakersfield, be and the same is hereby amended by
changing the land use zoning of certain property in said City, the
boundaries of which property are shown on the map hereto attached
and made a part hereof, as follows:
Changing the zoning boundaries from an R-1
(One-Family Dwelling) Zone to an R-2-D (Limited
Multiple-Fam. Dwelling - Arch. Design) Zone of
that certain property in the City of Bakers-
field known as Lots 23 through 31, Tract 3846,
being more particularly described as follows:
That portion of southwest 1/4 of Section 14,
Township 29 South, Range 28 East, M.D.B.& M.
in City of Bakersfield, County of Kern, State
of California, described as follows:
Beginning at the southeast corner of Tract
3698-Unit B. Thence north 89°19'22" east a
distance of 310.00' the true point of beginning
for this description.
Thence north 89°19'22" east, a distance of
211.05 feet to a point in the east line of
the southwest 1/4 of said Section 14;
Thence north along the east
west 1/4 of said Section 14,
687.69 feet to a point;
line of the south-
a distance of
Thence north 89°20'22" west, a distance of
211.05 feet;
Thence south 0°01'21" east a distance of
687.75 feet to the true point of beginning.

I HEREBY CERTIFY that the foregoing ordinance was passed
and adopted by the Council of the City of Bakersfield at a regular
meeting thereof held on the 13th day of September, 1976, by the follow-
