AN EMERGENCY ORDINANCE OF THE COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF BAKERSFIELD REPEALING CHAPTER 6.60 OF
THE MUNICIPAL CODE OF THE CITY OF BAKERSFIELD,
SERVICE USERS TAX.
WHEREAS, the City Council is preparing to meet to estab-
lish the 1976-77 budget to become effective July 1, 1976; and
WHEREAS, such deliberation and financial data are necessary
to budget for the daily operations of the City of Bakersfield; and
WHEREAS, it is imperative that the City Council know what
revenues are available as of July 1, 1976.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED 'by the Council of the City
of Bakersfield as follows:
SECTION 1.
That Chapter 6.60 of the Municipal Code is hereby repealed
effective July 1, 1976.
SECTION 2.
Neither the adoption of this ordinance nor the repeal
hereby of any ordinance shall in any manner affect the prosecution
for violation of ordinance, which violation was committed prior to
the effective date hereof, nor be construed as affecting any of the
provisions of such ordinances relating to the collection of any such
tax or penalty or the penal provisions applicable to any violation
thereof.
SECTION 3.
This ordinance is an emergency ordinance under Section
24 of the City Charter and shall become effective immediately in
accordance with Section 1 above.

I HEREBY CERTIFY that the foregoing emergency ordinance
was passed and adopted by the Council of the City of Bakersfield
at a special meeting thereof held on the 27th day of May, 1976,
by the following vote:
