NEW SERIES
AN ORDINANCE AMENDING TITLE SEVENTEEN OF THE
MUNICIPAL CODE OF THE CITY OF BAKERSFIELD BY
CHANGING THE LAND USE ZONING OF THAT CERTAIN
PROPERTY IN THE CITY OF BAKERSFIELD COMMONLY
KNOWN AS 2103, 2107, 2113, AND 2117 CASTRO
LANE.
WHEREAS, in accordance with the procedure set forth in
the provisions of Title 17 of the Municipal Code of the City of
Bakersfield, the Planning Commission and City Council have held
hearings respectively, on a petition to change the land use zoning
of that certain property in the City of Bakersfield co~mnonly known
as 2103, 210% 2113 and 2117 Castro Lane; and
WHEREAS, the City Council has determined after due con-
sideration of said petition and the recommendations of the Planning
CoLmL,ission herein on file, together with the reasons advanced at
the hearings for a change of zoning of said property, that a zoning
change should be authorized; and
WHEREAS, the City Council has determined and found that
this zoning ordinance is consistent with the General Plan of the
City of Bakersfield.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED by the Council of the City
of Bakersfield as follows:
That Section 17.12.020 (Zoning Map) of the Municipal Code
of the City of Bakersfield, be and the same is hereby amended by
changing the land use zoning of certain property in said City, the
boundaries of which property are shown on the map hereto attached
and made a part hereof, as follows:
Amending the zoning boundaries from an R-1
(One Family Dwelling) Zone to an R-3-D
(Limited Multiple Family Dwelling - Archi-
tectural Design) Zone, of that certain property
in the City of Bakersfield commonly known as
2103, 2107, 2113, and 2117 Castro Lane, being
more particularly described as follows:
The north 330 feet of the east 264 feet of the
north 1/2 of the southwest 1/4 of the north-
west 1/4, Section 12, Township 30 South, Range
27 East, M.D.B.& M., City of Bakersfield, County
of Kern, State of California, as per map recorded
June 25, 1959, in Book 10, Page 170, in the office
of the County Recorder of said County.
EXCEPTING THEREFROM the right-of-way within Castro
Lane and Lum Avenue.

I HEREBY CERTIFY that the foregoing ordinance was passed
and adopted by the Council of the City of Bakersfield at a regular
meeting thereof held on the 17th day of May, 1976, by the following
vote:
