AN ORDINANCE AMENDING TITLE SEVENTEEN OF THE
MUNICIPAL CODE OF THE CITY OF BAKERSFIELD BY
CHANGING THE LAND USE ZONING OF THAT CERTAIN
PROPERTY IN THE CITY OF BAKERSFIELD LOCATED
ON THE SOUTHWEST CORNER OF PANORAMA DRIVE AND
COLUMBUS STREET.
WHEREAS, in accordance with the procedure set forth in
the provisions of Title 17 of the Municipal Code of the City of
Bakersfield, the Planning Commission and City Council have held
hearings respectively, on a petition to change the land use zoning
of that certain property in the City of Bakersfield located on the
southwest corner of Panorama Drive and Columbus Street; and
WHEREAS, the City Council has determined after due con-
sideration of said petition and the recommendations of the Planning
Commission herein on file, together with the reasons advanced at
the hearings for a change of zoning of said property, that a zoning
change should be authorized; and
WHEREAS, the City Council has determined and found that
this zoning ordinance is consistent with the General Plan of the
City of Bakersfield.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED by the Council of the City
of Bakersfield as follows:
That Section 17.12.020 (Zoning Map) of the Municipal Code
of the City of Bakersfield, be and the same is hereby amended by
changing the land use zoning of certain property in said City, the
boundaries of which property are shown on the map hereto attached
and made a part hereof, as follows:
Amending the zoning boundaries from an R-1
(One Family Dwelling) Zone to an R-3-D
(Limited Multiple Family Dwelling-Architectural
Design) Zone, of that certain property in the
City of Bakersfield located on the southwest
corner of Panorama Drive and Columbus Street,
being more particularly described as follows:
Being a certain parcel of land situated in a
portion of the northwest 1/4 of the northwest
1/4 of Section 14, Township 29 South, Range
28 East, M.D.M. in the City of Bakersfield,
County of Kern, State of California and des-
cribed more particularly as follows:
Con~nencing at the northeast corner of Lot 1
of Tract 3513 in said city per map recorded
September 9, 1973, in Map Book 25, Page 9 of
official records of said County, said corner
also being a point on the south line of
Panorama Drive; thence (1) easterly along
said south line along a curve having a radius
of 945.00 feet and a central angle of 09°53'
59" an arc distance of 163.28 feet to the
point of tangency;
Thence (2) continuing alon~ said south line
of Panorama Drive south 68 18'03" east, a
distance of 190.906 feet to the northwest
corner of that certain parcel of land des-
cribed by deed and recorded in Book 4916
page 425 of official records of said county;
Thence (3) south 03o55'28" east along the
westerly line of said parcel of record, a
distance of 11.56 feet to the true point of
beginning;
Thence (4) continuing along last-named line,
a distance of 201.08 feet to the southwest
corner of said parcel of record;
Thence (5) north 60o28'07" west,
of 21.858 feet;
Thence (6) north 55°34'31" west,
of 66.95 feet;
Thence (7) north 21°41'57" east,
of 163.58 feet to the true point

I HEREBY CERTIFY that the foregoing ordinance was passed
and adopted by the Council of the City of Bakersfield at a regular
meeting thereof held on the 17th day of May, 1976, by the following
vote:
