AN ORDINANCE AMENDING SECTION 17.12.020 OF
CHAPTER 17.12 (ZONING MAP) OF THE MUNICIPAL
CODE OF THE CITY OF BAKERSFIELD.
WHEREAS, in accordance with the procedure set forth in
the provisions of Title 17 of the Municipal Code of the City of
Bakersfield, the Planning Cormnission and City Council have held
hearings respectively, on a motion to zone certain property now
being annexed to said City; and
WHEREAS, the City Council has determined after due con-
sideration of the motion and recommendation of the Planning Commis-
sion, herein on file, together with the reasons advanced at the hearing
for the zoning of said property, that said zoning should be authorized
upon annexation of said property to the City.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED by the Council. of the City
of Bakersfield, as follows:
SECTION 1.
That Section 17.12.020 of Chapter 17.12 (Zoning Map) of
the Municipal Code of the City of Bakersfield, be and the same is
hereby amended by extending the boundaries of said map to include
those certain properties in the County of Kern located northerly of
Chipman Junior High School bounded on the west and south by the
City of Bakersfield, and known as "PANORAMA NO. 3" Annexation,
in an R-1 (One Family Dwelling) Zone, upon the annexation of said
property to the City of Bakersfield, the boundaries of which property
are shown on the map hereto attached and made a part of this ordinance,
and are more specifically described as follows:
A parcel of land situate in the County of Kern
State of California, being a portion of Section
14, Township 29 South, Range 28 East, M.D.M.,
more particularly described as follows:
Commencing at the north 1/4 corner of said Section
14, said 1/4 corner being in the Corporate Boundary
of the City of Bakersfield;
Thence (1) bearing N 89°43'39" east a distance
of 1321.73 feet along the north line of said
Section to the northeast corner of the west
1/2 of the northeast 1/4 of said Section 14
as per Record of Survey Map of Section 14,
T.29 S., R.28 E., M.D.B.& M., Kern County,
California, as filed on April 13, 1961 in
Book 8 of Record of Surveys, at Page 57, in
the Office of the County Recorder of the County
of Kern;
Thence (2) S 00o01'07" east along the east
line of the said west 1/2, 2651.539 feet to
the southeast corner of said west 1/2;
Thence (3) continuing along the east.line of
the W 1/2 of the southeast 1/4 of said Sectzon
bearing S 00o00'37" east a distance of 939.598
feet to point "D" as shown on the Record of
Survey Map of a portion of the southeast 1/4 of
Section 14 and the southwest 1/4 of Section 13,
T.29 S., R. 28 E., M.D.M., County of Kern as
filed October 20, 1966 in Book 9 of Record o~f
Surveys, at page 91, in the Office of the County
Recorder of the County of Kern, said point being
on the Corporate Boundary of the City of Bakersfield.
Thence (4) westerly and northerly and along the
various courses of said Corporate Boundary to the
point of beginning.
SECTION 2.
This ordinance shall become effective upon the annexation of
above-described territory to the City of Bakersfield.

I HEREBY CERTIFY that the foregoing Ordinance was passed
and adopted by the Council of the City of Bakersfield at a regular
meeting thereof held on the 1st day of March, 1976, by the following
vote:
