4. The consulting firm of Rickett, Ward and Delmarter have requested
a 30-day extension to complete the Ke~n River open-space planning

WATER BOARD - CITY OF BAKERSFIELD
WEDNESDAY, FEBRUARY 25, 1981
4:00 P.M.
The meeting was called to order by Chairman Barton in the Depart-
ment of Water Conference Room
The secretary called the roll as follows:
Present: Barton, Payne, Ratty, Kelmar
Absent: Oberholzer
Staff Present: Bogart, Core, Hawley, Hostmyer, Saalfield, Swallow
Others Present: Margaret Leach, Quad Consultants
Gayle Schontzler, The Bakersfield Californian
The minutes from the meeting of January 21 1981 were approved
as presented. ' '
Letter from Rickett, Ward & Delmarter dated February 11, 1981,
addressed to Dale Hawley Director of Public Works requesting
an extension of time on Agreement No. 80-41 W.B. was presented
to the board. The firm is requesting a thirty (30) day ex-
tension to complete the Kern River Open-Space Planning Study.
Mr. Ratty made a motion that the board approve the request for
an extension. The motion was passed.
Recommendation by the City Attorney's Office to have the City
Clerk's Office retain all Water Board Documents. Mr. Payne
made a motion that the City Clerk's office retain the records??
The motion was passed.
Staff Comments
Assistant Water Manager Gene Bogart relayed a message to the
Water Board from Manager Chafin expressing that due to illness
he was sorry he could not attend the final Water Board meeting.
There being no ~urther business to come before the board, Chair-
man Barton adjourned the meeting at 4:12 P.M.
