AN ORDINANCE AMENDING TITLE SEVENTEEN OF THE
MUNICIPAL CODE OF THE CITY OF BAKERSFIELD BY
CHANGING THE LAND USE ZONING OF THAT CERTAIN
PROPERTY IN THE CITY OF BAKERSFIELD LOCATED
ON THE SOUTHEAST CORNER OF PLANZ ROAD AND
RAIDER DRIVE.
WHEREAS, in accordance with the procedure set forth in
the provisions of Title 17 of the Municipal Code of the City of
Bakersfield, the Planning Commission and City Council have held
hearings respectively, on a petition to change the land use zoning
of that certain property in the City of Bakersfield located on the
southeast corner of Planz Road and Raider Drive; and
WHEREAS, the City Council has determined after due con-
sideration of said petition and the recommendations of the Planning
Commission herein on file, together with the reasons a~anced at
the hearings for a change of zoning of said property, that a zoning
change should be authorized; and
WHEREAS, the City Council has determined and found that
this zoning ordinance is consistent with the General Plan of the
City of Bakersfield.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED by the Council of the City
of Bakersfield as follows:
That Section 17.12.020 (Zoning Map) of the Municipal Code
of the City of Bakersfield, be and the same is hereby amended by
changing the land use zoning of certain property in said City, the
boundaries of which property are shown on the map hereto attached
and made a part hereof, as follows:
Amending the zoning boundaries from an R-1
(One Family Dwelling) Zone to an R-2-D
(Limited Multiple Family Dwelling-Architectural
Design) Zone; and an R-3-D (Limited Multiple
Family Dwelling-Architectural Design) Zone
of those certain properties in the City of
Bakersfield located on the southeast corner
of Planz Road and Raider Drive, being more
particularly described as follows:
From an R-1 (One Family Dwelling) Zone to an
R-3-~ (Limited Multiple Family Dwelling-
Architectural Design) Zone:
All of the east 1/2 of the west 1/2 of Lot 3 of
Section 18, Township 30 South, Range 28 East,
M.D.B.M., according to the Kern County Sales
Map No. 1 of the lands of J. B. Haggin filed
on May 3, 1889 in the office of the Kern County
Recorder.
EXCEPTING THEREFROM the south 1076 feet, and
the east 50 feet, also excepting the right-of-
way within Raider Drive and Planz Road.
From an R-1 (One Family Dwelling) Zone to an
R-2-~ (Limited Multiple Family Dwelling-
Architectural Design) Zone:
The north 160 feet of the south 1126 feet of
the east 1/2 of the west 1/2 of Lot 3 of Section
18, Township 30 south, Range 28 East, M.D.B.M.,
according to the Kern County Sales Map No. 1
of Lands of J. B. Haggin filed on May 3, 1889
in the office of the Kern County Recorder.
EXCEPTING THEREFROM the north 50 feet of the
west 280.09 feet,
ALSO EXCEPTING the right-of-way within Raider
Drive.

I HEREBY CERTIFY that the foregoing ordinance was passed
and adopted by the Council of the City of Bakersfield at a regular
meeting thereof held on the 2d day of February, 1976, by the follow-
ing vote:
