NEW SERIES
AN ORDINANCE OF THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
BAKERSFIELD AMENDING SECTION 7.40.010(a)
OF THE MUNICIPAL CODE OF THE CITY OF
BAKERSFIEL~ CONCERNING PUBLIC DANCES.
BE IT ORDAINED by the Council of the City of Bakersfield
as follows:
SECTION 1.
That Subsection (a) of Section 7.40.010 of Chapter 7.40
of Title 7 of the Municipal Code of the City of Bakersfield is
amended to read as follows:
(a) "Public dance," for the purpose of this chapter, means
any dance to which the public generally may gain admission with
the payment of a fee, but does not include dancing in a regularly
licensed establishment where dancing is incidental to the business
for which the license was issued.
SECTION 2.
This ordinance shall become effective
and after the date of its passage.

I HEREBY CERTIFY that the foregoing ordinance was passed
and adopted by the Council of the City of Bakersfield at a regular
meeting thereof held on the 3d day of November, 1975, by the follow-
