NEW SERIES
AN ORDINANCE OF THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
BAKERSFIELD AMENDING SUBSECTION (e) AND (f)
OF SECTION 3.18.190 OF THE MUNICIPAL CODE,
CONCERNING CREDITING AND USE OF VACATION.
BE IT ORDAINED by the Council of the City of Bakersfield
as follows:
SECTION 1.
That subsection (e) of Section 3.18.190 of Chapter 3.18
of Title 3 of the Municipal Code of the City of Bakersfield is
hereby amended to read as follows:
(e) Credited. Vacation shall be credited to permanent and
probationary employees on a bi-weekly basis.
SECTION 2.
That subsection (f) of Section 3.18.190 of Chapter 3.18
of Title 3 of the Municipal Code of the City of Bakersfield is
hereby amended to read as follows:
(f) Use of Vacation. Permanent and probationary employees
are eligible to take vacation leave as it is earned; however, as a
general rule, all accrued vacation should be taken on an annual basis
at one time unless under special circumstances or for the convenience
of the City, a lesser period is approved by the department head.
SECTION 3.
This ordinance shall become effective thirty days from
and after the date of its passage.

I HEREBY CERTIFY that the foregoing ordinance was passed
and adopted by the Council of the City of Bakersfield at a regular
meeting thereof held on the 8 day of September, 1975, by the
following vote:
