2219 NEW SERIES
AN ORDINANCE AMENDING TITLE SEVENTEEN OF THE
MUNICIPAL CODE OF THE CITY OF BAKERSFIELD BY
CHANGING THE LAND USE ZONING OF THAT CERTAIN
PROPERTY IN THE CITY OF BAKERSFIELD LOCATED
ON THE NORTHWEST CORNER OF KENNEDY AVENUE AND
SOUTH REAL ROAD.
WHEREAS, in accordance with the procedure set; forth in
the provisions of Title 17 of the Municipal Code of the City of
Bakersfield, the Planning Commission and City Council have held
hearings respectively, on a petition to change the land use zoning
of that certain property in the City of Bakersfield located on the
northwest corner of Kennedy Avenue and South Real Road; and
WHEREAS, the City Council has determined after due con-
sideration of said petition and the recommendations of the Planning
Commission herein on file, together with the reasons advanced at
the hearings for a change of zoning of said property, that a zoning
change should be authorized; and
WHEREAS, the City Council has determined and found that
this zoning ordinance is consistent with the General Plan of the
City of Bakersfield.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED by the Council of the City
of Bakersfield as follows:
That Section 17.12.020 (Zoning Map) of the Municipal Code
of the City of Bakersfield, be and the same is hereby amended by
changing the land use zoning of certain property in said City,
the boundaries of which property are shown on the map hereto
attached and made a part hereof, as follows:
Changing the zoning boundaries from an R-1
(One Family Dwelling) Zone to an R-1-CH (One
Family Dwelling - Church) Zone, of that certain
property in the City of Bakersfield located on
the northwest corner of Kennedy Avenue and South
Real Road, being more particularly described as
follows:
Parcel 1:
The south 500 feet of the east 350 feet of Lot
19, Section 11, Township 30 South, Range 27
East, M.D.M., in the City of Bakersfield,
County of Kern, State of California, according
to the Kern County Sales Map #2 of the land of
J. B. Haggin dated May 19, 1889, recorded in
the Office of the County Recorder of said County
on May 24, 1889.
Parcel 2:
That portion of Lot 30 of said Section 11,
Township 30 South, Range 27 East, M.D.M.,
described as follows: Commencing at the point of
intersection of the interior line of Planz Road
and the center line of Real Road as said point
is shown on Map of Tract No. 2570, recorded
October 17, 1961, in Book 12 of Maps, Page 81
in the Office of the County Recorder, County of
Kern. Thence north 00o02'37" west along the
center line of said Real Road 1179.200 feet more
or less to the northeasterly corner of that certain
parcel of land conveyed to the Panama Union School
District by final judgment and eminent domain
recorded February 27, 1964 in Book 3697, Page 941,
official records, said point being the true point
of beginning for this description; Thence westerly
along the northerly boundary of said land described
in said final judgment, the following courses:
Beginning at a curve concave to the northeast, having
a central angle of 34°57'20" and a radius of 470.00';
thence northwesterly along said curve an arc distance
of 286.742' to a point of reverse curvature concave
to the southwest havln~ a central angle of 3+ 8 31
and a radius of 3411.27 ; thence northwesterly along said
curve an arc distance of 205.344' to a point in the
north line of said Lot 30; thence east along the
north line of said Lot 30 461.964', more or less, to
the northeast corner of said Lot 30. Said point
also being the centerline of said Real Road; thence
south 00o02'37" east along the centerline of said
Real road 142.40', more or less, to the point of
beginning.
EXCEPT that portion thereof lying west of the east
350' measured along the northerly line of said Lot 30.

I HEREBY CERTIFY that the foregoing ordinance was passed
and adopted by the Council of the City of Bakersfield at a regular
meeting thereof held on the 3d day of February, 1975, by the follow-
ing vote:
