AN ORDINANCE AMENDING SECTION 17.12.020 OF
CHAPTER 17.12 (ZONING MAP) OF THE MUNICIPAL
CODE OF THE CITY OF BAKERSFIELD.
WHEREAS, in accordance with the procedure set forth in
the provisions of Title 17 of the Municipal Code of the City of
Bakersfield, the Planning Con~nission and City Council have held
hearings respectively, on motion to zone certain property now being
annexed to said City; and
WHEREAS, the City Council has determined after due con-
sideration of the motion and recon~endation of the Pl~mning Con~nis-
sion, herein on file, together with the reasons advanced at the
hearing for the zoning of said property, that said zoning should
be authorized upon annexation of said property to the City.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED by the Council of the
City of Bakersfield, as follows:
SECTION 1.
That Section 17.12.020 of Chapter 17.12 (Zoning Map) of
the Municipal Code of the City of Bakersfield, be and the same is
hereby amended by extending the boundaries of said map to include
that certain property in the County of Kern on the northeastern
corner of Akers Road and Planz Road, and known as "Akers No. 2"
Annexation, in an R-1 (One Family Dwelling) Zone, upon the annexa-
tion of said property to the City of Bakersfield, the boundaries
of which property are shown on the map hereto attached and made a
part of this ordinance, and are more specifically described as
follows:
A parcel of land situate in the County of Kern, State of California,
and being a portion of the southwest quarter of the southeast quarter
of Section 11, Township 30 South, Range 27 East, M.D.B.&M. and being
more particularly described as follows:
Beginning at the point of intersection of the east line of the west
45 feet of said southeast quarter and the north line of the south
45 feet of said southeast quarter, said point being in the Corporate
Boundary of the City of Bakersfield;
Thence (1) assuming a bearing of N 89°24'15'~ for the south line of
said Section 11, departing from said Corporate Boundary, N 00° 10'53"E,
along the last-named east line, 281.32 feet to intersect the northwest
corner of Lot 23, Tract No. 2650, as said lot and tract are shown on
a map recorded in Book 14 of Maps, at Page 13, records of said County;
Thence (2) S 89°49'07"E along the north line of last named lot and
easterly prolongation 615.44 feet, more or less, to intersect the
east line of the southwest quarter of the southwest qnarter of the
southeast quarter of said Section 11, said last-named point of inter-
section being in the Corporate Boundary of the City of Bakersfield;
Thence (3) southerly and along the various courses of last-named
Corporate Boundary to the point of beginning.
Excepting the right-of-way for Cooney Way.
SECTION 2.
This ordinance shall become effective upon the annexation
of the above-described territory to the City of Bakersfield.

I HEREBY CERTIFY that the foregoing Ordinance was passed
and adopted by the Council of the City of Bakersfield at a regular
meeting thereof held on the ?th day of October, 1974, by the
