HomeMy WebLinkAboutRES NO 106-98RESOLUTION NO. ]. 0 6" 9 8 A RESOLUTION IN SUPPORT OF THE STATE ASSEMBLY PROCLAIMING THE MONTH OF AUGUST AS VALLEY FEVER AWARENESS MONTH IN CALIFORNIA AND EFFORTS TO DEVELOP A VACCINE TO PREVENT THE DISEASE. WHEREAS, the California State Assembly has passed Assembly Concurrent Resolution 175 proclaiming the month of August as Valley Fever Awareness Month in California; and WHEREAS, by recognizing Valley Fever Awareness Month, we give support to those who suffer from the disease and focus attention to the progress being made on the development of a vaccine. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Bakersfield that the City does hereby proclaim August to be Valley Fever Awareness Month and urges support for the creation of a vaccine. .......... o0o ..........
