AN ORDINANCE ADDING ANNEXATION NO. 398 TO
WARD 7.
WHEREAS, the Council of the City of Bakersfield adopted a resolution for
Annexation No. 398 on June 24, 1998, ordering the territory annexed to the City of
Bakersfield; and
WHEREAS, the territory ordered to be annexed to the City of Bakersfield is
required to be within a City Council Ward Boundary; and
WHEREAS, the Council recently completed annexation of the territory to the
City of Bakersfield, the exterior boundaries of which are described in Exhibit "A" and as
shown in Exhibit "B" for Annexation No. 398 attached hereto and incorporated as though fully
set forth herein.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED by the Council of the City of
Bakersfield as follows:
Section 1.
All of the foregoing recitals are hereby found to be true and correct.
Section 2.
Annexation No. 398 shall be included in Ward 7.
Section 3
This ordinance shall be posted in accordance with the City of Bakersfield
Municipal Code and shall become effective upon the annexation of the above-described
territory to the City of Bakersfield, But not less than thirty (30) days from and after the
date of its passage.

A parcel of land being a portion of the southwest 1/4 of Section of the 24 and the north V2 of Section
25 of Township 30 South, Range 27 East, MD.M., County of Kern, State of California, more
particulary described as follows:
Commencing at the common south 1/4 corner of said Section 24 and north I/4 corner of said Section
of 25 as monumented by "California Division of Highways Brass Cap Set in Concrete Flush" located
within the right of way for Bakersfield Bypass (State Route VI KER 99), said 1/4 corner being
designated as 655,152.739 feet North, 1,692,891.593 feet East per the California Coordinate System
27, Zone 5;
Thence North 89° 19' 12" West, along the section line common between said Sections 24 and 25, a
distance of 860.70 feet to a point on the west right of way line of said Bakersfield Bypass, also being
a point on the existing corporate boundary of the City of Bakersfield;
Thence departing from said corporate boundary, North 89° 19' 12" West, along said section line,
30.00 feet to the point of intersection with center line of Dennen Street (County Road No. 2394);
Thence North 00° 40' 48" East, along said center line, 325.00 feet to a point on the South boundary
line of Tract No. 3497 per map filed in Book 23 of Maps, Page 138 in the office of the Kern County
Recorder;
