12:00 noon
City Manager's Conference Room
1. Draft Report on Defibrillation Program
The Committee approved a draft report which will be submitted to the City Council
at the March 24 Council meeting. The report recommends that further
implementation of the defibrillation program be deferred until it can be fully funded
for all capital and operating costs and offered on a Citywide basis.
2. Gleaners' Housing Project at 231 Quantico
The funding of costs for the Housing Project which are considered preconstruction,
such as building permit fees, are being recommended for funding in the 1993-94
proposed budget using Community Development Block Grant funds. Community
Development staff will present a more detailed description of the proposed funding
with their budget proposal.
3. City Auditor ~'
The Committee met with Burt Armstrong and Andy Paulden representing Brown,
Waits and Armstrong, the City's auditors. The Committee reviewed the City's
response to the Auditors' management letter and were satisfied with staff's responses
to the recommendations.
The Committee also discussed the renewal of the Audit Agreement with Brown,
Waits and Armstrong for the Audit of 1992-93. The Auditors agreed to renew the
agreement at the same price as the current year due to the financial situation
anticipated for the City in 1993-94 fiscal year.
4. Project Clean Air
Staff has been trying to contact the new Executive Director Linda Urata to verify the
City's status regarding sponsorship of Project Clean Air. The City contributed
$15,000 to the group in July of 1991 towards a video. The City was to be included
on their letterhead as a contributor and receive a copy of the video. Staff will
continue to pursue this.
