Call to Order at 12:15 p.m.

4. DEFERRED BUSINESS
A. Metro Bakersfield Traffic Impact Fee - Update
Dave Price gave an update on the status of the Metro Bakersfield Traffic Impact
Fee. He indicated that the City had adopted the Fee Ordinance at the December 4,
1996 City Council meeting. He further indicated that the County had noticed their
hearing with the same changes to the Traffic ImPact Fees that had been
incorporated in the City ordinance. He indicated that the Fees were scheduled to
be considered by the Board of Supervisors at the Board meeting Monday,
December 9 at 2:00 p.m. County staff indicated that they were in agreement with
the traffic fee program as adopted by the City. City representatives indicated that
individuals who were in opposition at the prior City Council meetingi appeared
before the Council on December 4 and now concur with the plan outlined by staff.

5. New Business
A. Convention Center Expansion - Arena/Centennial Project
This item was requested by Councilmember McDermott. Assistant City
Manager John Stinson made a brief presentation regarding the proposed
Convention Center expansion project and the proposed Centennial Plaza.
County representatives had a positive reaction to both projects and indicated
they are working with City staff regarding any mutual concerns regarding
these projects.
B. IGRC Meeting Schedule for 1997
The following meeting dates were set for 1997:
Thursday, March 6 - City Host
Thursday, June 5 - County Host
Thursday, September 11 - City Host
Thursday, December 4 - County Host
6. ADJOURNMENT
The meeting adjourned at 1:00 p.m.
