ANDERSEN - COMMUNITY SERVICESmaNAGER .~ SUBJECT BAKERSFIELD SYMPHONY REHEARSAL DATES On the following .page I have listed performance and rehearsal dates the _ Bakersfield Symphony has used in the past three fiscal years, along with booked dates for the upcoming 1991-92 season. Also attached, for your information, is a letter to John Farrer of the Bakersfield Symphony written in March, 1991, explain- ing the Convention Center's position. Currently, there are two Saturday rehearsal dates tentatively available for the Symphony. Because of potential earnings derived from Saturday events, it is important the Convention Center be given discretionary responsibilities over which activities are booked. While we are acutely aware of the Symphony's needs, it is the community as a whole that should be considered. 'If you' have any questions, please contact me at your convenience.
