1. Silver Creek Park: Review of Concept Construction Plans (Lee Andersen)
[David Milazzo, Mike Dhanens, and Vernon Burke to meet with committee]
On April 8, 1992, the City Council entered into Agreement #92-70 with Castle and
Cooke Development Corporation for the development of Silver Creek park.
One of the prOvisions of the agreement was for the Community Services Council
Committee to review and approve the conceptual plans.
On September 2, 1992, the Community Services Council Committee met with Castle
and Cooke representatives and staff to review and discuss the conceptual plans.
The Council Committee approved the plans with the following conditions:
1) The swimming pool length be increased from 75 feet to 25 meters.
2) The diving boards be eliminated for liability purposes.
3) Provisions for parking should be considered closer to the pool
complex.
4) Some security lights should be relocated for better visibility and safety.
5) All improvements shall meet with ADA requirements.
The developer was authorized to proceed with the final plans, specifications and
improvement agreement which will be presented to the full Council for approval.
Councilmembers wishing to review conceptual plans may contact Lee Andersen at
ext. 3700 or Frank Fabbri at ext. 3117. Also, copies will be available in the City
Clerk's Office.
