A. Discussion and Committee recommendation regarding design of the entrance signs
into the City ~.
Committee member Benham stated she consulted with a designer friend and no longer
recommends painting the concrete. Monuments and signs made with concrete are timeless.
Staff also did not recommend painting the concrete because the groves in the concrete will
appear darker.
Public Works staff set up a computer capable of changing the colors of the logo and lettering
on the sign, which allowed the Committee to view different color design options projected on the
screen.
The Committee selected different color designs for the logo and lettering and directed staff to
present the options to the Council at the Workshop on Wednesday, December 12th.
Staff also recommended making the "Welcome to" in larger letters and the Committee
approved. (Committee member Carson absent)
