RE: EXPANSION OF THE EMERGENCY MEDICAL CARE ADVISORY BOARD TO INCLUDE TWO
CITY REPRESENTATIVES
Dear Board Members:
The Emergency Medical Care Advisory Board (EMGAB) held a regular meeting on Tuesday,
November 13, 1990. One of the items for discussion was the expansion of F. MC/kB to include two city
representatives-one from the City Selection Committee and one from the City Managers Association.
The EMS Department and EMGAB deal with a variety of issues which impact the incorporated cities
within the County. By having these two representatives on EMGAB it is felt that city/county EMS issues will
be able to be dealt with in a more timely manner. Also, the spirit of cooperative government interaction will
be promoted.
Therefore, it is recommended that the Board of Supervisors expand the voting membership of
EMCAB to include one representative from the City Selection Committee and one representative from the
City Managers Association to serve at the pleasure of the Board of Supervisors.
Sincerely,
