Smith AGENDA SUMMARY REPORT URBAN DEVELOPMENT COMMITTEE Thursday, September 10, 1992 12:00 noon .-- City Manager's Conference Room 1. Sidewalk Pushcart Food Vendor Ordinance (Michael Allford) Mr. Allford presented a draft Ordinance generally agreed to by the sidewalk vendors. There was a question as to whether the small pushcart vendors like LaRosa should be required to carry $1,000,000 insurance. The Committee preference was not to require it. Attorney and Treasurer to meet with the vendors with this draft of the Ordinance. 2. Adoption of 1991 Uniform Fire Code (Steve Johnson and Larry Toler) The State of California has already adopted the code and we are required to enforce it. There are no significant changes proposed. The BIA has a copy to review. Report their comments back at the next Committee meeting. Schedule for City Council on October 21. 3. Riverlakes Transportation Fee (Alan Tandy) Mr. Frank Lopez of Riverlakes agreed to pay the $200,000. Report this back to City Council September 16. 4. Southwest GET Transfer Station David Milazzo, Chester Moland and Steve Ruggenberg explained the difficulty they are having negotiating an agreement with the property owner for a transfer site in front of the K-Mart on Wilson Road. They are behind schedule and are looking into a temporary arrangement to move the transfer site from Ming Avenue to Wible Road, west of Valley Plaza. GET may request City approval to use eminent domain to acquire the Wilson Road site. 5.. Set Next Meeting Thursday, October 8, 1992.
