1. Pushcart Vendor Ordinance (Bill Descary)
Bill Desca,ry has met with the two vendors who hold four permits. They reached
substantial agreement on the draft ordinance. One vendor would like no limit on the
number of permits. Committee agreed to recommend this draft to the City Council.
2. Ordinance Relating to Leases of City-Owned Property (City Attorney)
The ordinance would change who is authorized to sign minor leases for the City.
Committee directed that the draft be changed to authorize the City_ Manager or
designee.
3. Planning CommisSioner Issues
a) Spacing of shopping centers may be too close. ·
b) Various development projects and population growth .reviewed.
, 4. Progress Report South Beltway (Ed Schulz) -
Kern COG's Draft EIR has to be rewritten. It won't go to the Kern COG board
Until May. No,action on crosstown freeway.
5. Set Next Meeting
April 14, 1993
