ROLL CALL Call to Order at 12:22 p.m. Present: Councilmembers Kevin McDermott, Chair; Patricia Smith and Randy Rowles. 2. APPROVAL OF OCTOBER 17, 1995 MINUTES Approved as submitted. 3. PRESENTATIONS None 4. PUBLIC STATEMENTS Councilmember McDermott commented on the handicapped ramp in the front of City Hall being open for use. He reminded staff to change the directional signs. MULTI-USE FACILITY Representatives from the County Board of Supervisors met with the Committee and staff to discuss the parameters for support of a multi-use facility. The County expressed support for the City being lead on this project, and for a ballot measure with very clear language about the basic elements of financing. Their main concern is a guarantee of repayment of their loan at the current interest rate. This issue will be addressed at their November 14 meeting. The Committee voted to delete the southwest site from consideration and asked staff to provide the Committee with additional information and financing options for the downtown and Sam Lynn sites. A special meeting was called for 4 p.m. on Tuesday, November 7, 1995 and the County was invited to attend that meeting. 6. NEW BUSINESS None 7. ADJOURNMENT Adjourned at 1:38 p.m. Representatives from Kern County: Supervisor Barbara Patrick, Field Representative Bob Devereaux for Supervisor Steve Perez, County Administrative Officer Joel Heinrichs, and Director of Policy Analysis Adel C.
