Re: Bingo .Ordinance.
Dear John:
During our telephone conversation following the
City-County Intergovernmental Relations Committee meeting last
Friday, we agreed that,.consistent with the County's administra-
tive interpretation, an explicit $250.00 limit on all prizes and
promotional give-aways at bingo games should be added to both City
and County. ordinances.
Attached please find a draft of an ordinance prepared for
such an amendment to the City's ordinance. I am asking the Vice
Mayor to refer this matter to a Council Committee (our process)
for report and recommendation.
As you work on the amendment to the County ordinance to
establish a minimum charitable contribution as a qualifier for
having give-aways at bingo games, please call me if I may be of
assistance.
