Lunardini, City Attorney SUBJECT: VICE MAYOR BRvKKBAL, OP' ~EED'ORDINANCE Please refer the following proposed ordinance to whichever committee you deem appropriate: 1) UNLAWFUL PARKING. Background: This ordinance prohibits the parking of a vehicle on City streets for the purpose of displaying it for sale, lease,, etc. The current ordinance applies to displays for sale only. OF SECTION 10.56.080 OF THE BAKERSFIELD MONICIPAL CODE RELATING TO UNLAWFUL PARKING. BE IT ORDAINED. by the Council of the City of Bakersfield as follows: SECTION 1. Subsection E. of Section 10.56.090 of the Bakersfield Municipal Code is hereby amended to read as follows: 10.56.080 Unlawful parking - Peddlers, vendors and taxicabs - Permits. E. No person shall stand or park a vehicle upon any street for the purpose of displaying the vehicle for sale, rent, lease or other similar commercial purpose by sign or otherwise. SECTION 2.
