1. Retaining Local Control in Government
Report No. 9-92 from the Legislative and Litigation Committee deals with
retaining local control as well as local property tax protection.
2. Proposed Constitutional Amendment to Protect Local Property Tax Revenues
Various options available for protecting local government resources will
continue to be explored including a Constitutional amendment.
3. Vending Machines/Smoking
A discussion of cigarette vending machine ordinances of other cities was held,
emphasizing the accessibility of cigarettes to minors through vending
machines. Staff was directed to collect additional data on the issue.
