1. Drug Loitering Ordinance/Law Enforcement Issues
The City of Monrovia's Mayor Robert Bartlett and Police Chief Joe Santoro made
a presentation regarding the Drug Loitering Ordinance and related law enforcement
issues. Key elements for the success of this program are: (1) resident involvement,
(2) community education and, (3) investment in the infrastructure. There were two
additional presentations by the Mayor and Police Chief to our Police Department
and to a group of concerned residents at the Bakersfield Senior Center. More
review is required and will be discussed at the next meeting for future action.
In attendance: Chair Patricia Smith, Patricia DeMond, Lynn Edwards, Mayor Price,
Henry Ross, III, Michael Allford, Larry Lunardini. Special guests:
Mayor Bob Bartlett and Police Chief Joe Santoro.
