SUBJECT: CITY MANAGER RECRUITMENT
Please review. This is a synopsis of your comments about the City Manager
recruitment process:
1) The recruitment will be beyond the locality and State, perhaps to the
Southwest or nation.
2) An executive search firm will be hired.
3) The executive search firm will handle job and candidate profiles with
help from the Personnel Division.
4) The Council and executive search firm will screen resumes to the inter-
view stage. A community advisory committee, if used at all, would only
be utilized for advise on general attributes in a City Manager.
5) The entire Council will take part in the final interviews.
6) Timing is, as yet, undetermined.
7) The executive search firm will advise on expenses to be paid.
