SUBJECT: Maintenance District Requirement for PM 11782
Planning Department Applications require that the property within new subdivisions and
parcel maps be merged into the Consolidated Maintenance District. The property is on
the. south side of Feliz Drive, east of Cottonwood -Drive and west of S. Washington
Street. The project, zoned M-1 will divide the existing 18.23 acre parcel, into six parcels
ranging from 0.62 to 5.85 acres. North of the property is residential, west is the
Richardson Child Development Center, south and east are small business parcels. This
area is not within a maintenance district nor is a district proposed for this area. The
closest Maintenance District 5-33 is 2,000' SW of this project. Therefore, can the
Maintenance District requirement be waived for this Tract? See attached map)

RE: Vesting Tentatl've Parcel Map 11782 -Maintenance District
Dear Mr. Anson:
According to Section 13.04.021 of the City of Bakersfield Municipal Code, Vesting Tentative
Parcel Map 11782 is required to form a maintenance district to provide for the future
maintenance of any public right-of-way or neighboring city park. There are no landscaped public
right-of-ways within aone- mile radius of the property and the closes city park is more than the
required 3/a of a mile. I would like to request that Vesting Tentative Parcel map 11782 be exempt
for any maintenance district requirements.
