Stephanie Campbell spoke regarding Item 5.a. a
resolution recommending policy training and
submitted written material.
CONSENT CALENDAR
Minutes of the regular meeting of December 11,
2000.
Payments from December 1, to December 21,
2000 in the amount of $29,212.30.
Motion by Arriola, seconded by Raphael to
adopt Consent Calendar Items a. and b.
REPORTS
None.
UNFINISHED BUSINESS
Resolution recommending Policy for Training
Workshops for Bakersfield Redevelopment
Agency Members and Project Area Committee
(PAC) Members.
Assistant City Manager Alan Christensen gave a
brief update.
Motion by Davenport, seconded by Raphael to
adopt the resolution as revised to include
"Chair or his/her designated PAC member to
attend the annual CRA Conference; and hold
an annual local Redevelopment Conference
tailored for local community needs.

b. Oral report on the City Center Project. NAT
City Manager Alan Tandy gave a brief update,
answered questions and distributed written
material.
NEW BUSINESS
a. Election of Bakersfield Redevelopment Agency
Chairperson and Vice-Chairperson for Calendar
Year 2001.
Arriola nominated Agency Member Mishoe as
Chairperson.
Motion by Arriola, seconded by Anthony to
close nominations for Chairperson.
Raphael nominated Agency Member Davenport
as Vice-Chairperson.
Motion by Anthony, seconded by Raphael to
close nominations for Vice-Chairperson.
b. Agreement with Kern Board of Education for
option to purchase real property.
Assistant City Manager Alan Christensen gave a
brief update.
Motion by Raphael, seconded by Schroeder to
approve the agreement.
AGENCY STATEMENTS

WORKSHOP
a. Component Unit Financial Report (Annual Audit NAT
Report) for the Agency as of June 30, 2000.
Finance Director Greg Klimko and Assistant
Finance Director Nelson Smith gave a computer
presentation.
