Presentation of Colors & Pledge of Allegiance by Bakersfield Young Marines Commanding

Recognition of Special Guests by Bob Price, Mayor, City of Bakersfield
Mayor Price stated this is a special evening, he recalled his excitement when he was sworn in 8 years
ago as Mayor and stated this is a great evening with the Changing of the Guard, as he steps down
as Mayor of Bakersfield and Harvey L. Hall will step fonvard and lead this great City on into the
future in grand style. Mayor Price recognized Assemblyman Roy Ashbum, Supervisor Steve Perez,
Judge Skip Staley, Councilwoman Fran Florez, A1 Wagner representative of Assemblyman Dean
Florez, Supervisor Barbara Patrick and Assemblyman Dean Florez.

Past Mayor Bob Price recognized Lavonne Hall and Sandy Price.
Past Mayor Bob Price presented the Mayor's Gavel to Mayor Harvey L. Hall.
Mayor's Acknowledgments by Harvey L. Hall, Mayor, City of Bakersfield
Mayor Hall thanked everyone for being a part of this special occasion and stated "Our City is one
of greatness and it will be my goal everyday to make every day better than the day before and to try
and make this City the best city in America." Mayor Hall thanked everyone for their support,
especially his family, Past Mayor Bob Price, Hall Ambulance Employees. Mayor Hall stated he
looks forward to working with the City Council and City staff and reiterated his appreciation for the
City's support.

8. Mayor's Acknowledgments by Harvey L. Hail, Mayor, City of Bakersfield continued
Council members welcomed and congratulated Mayor Hall and stated they look forward to working
with him.

10. Adjournment & Reception followed in the City Council Chambers Foyer
Mayor Hall adjourned the meeting at 5:36 p.m.
