I hereby request that a maintenance district for the northwest quarter
of Section 2, Township 30 South, Range 26 East, M.D.M. be established
to provide maintenance for landscaping along major highways, the pro-
posed park site, and the drainage facilities within Tentative Tracts
4.706, 4707, 4708, and 4709.

Attached is a copy of a letter I' received regarding the .above
referenced Maintenance District. Also .enclosed is a copy. of a
petition regarding requested maintenance of landscaping around the
existing oil tank farm. I have visited the site, the neighborhood
is extremely well kept and the area around the tank farm is a
definite eyesore. Please consider the feasibility of one of the
three options pointed out in Mr. Bushby's letter and let me know
what the- Parks Department's decision on this will be and I will
contact Mr. Bushby. Please call me if you have any questions
regarding this matter:

A .parcel of land in the City of Bakersfield, County of Kern, State
o.f California, being a portion of Section 2 and 3, T. 34 S., R. 26
E., M.D.B.&M. and more particularly described as follows:
Beginning at the intersection of the South line of the ~torth 30
feet of the northwest ~1/4 of said Section 2 with -the East line of
the northwest 1/4 of said Section 2;
Thence ~1)~ southerly along the last named East line to intersect
the South line of said. northwest 1/4;
Thence,~2) westerly along the last named South line and the westerly
extension thereof to intersect the West line of~the East 30' of
the northeast 1/4 of said Section 3;
Thence ~3) northerly along the last named West line to intersect
the South line of the North 30' of the northeast 1/4 of said
Section 3;
Thence (4) westerly along the last named South line and the South
line of the North 30' of the northwest 1/4 of said Section 2 to
the Point of Beginning.
LMPROVEMENTS
All of the following improvement items may or may not be applicable
.for this maintenance district. However, the improvements generally

maintenance or use of the above mentioned items; and certain
walls, fences, plant forms, trees, shrubs, ground covers, hedges,
sidewalks, walkways, parking areas, landscaping, and landscape
appurtenances, poles, pasts and signs, security lighting.
