#5996 IN A MAINTENANCE DISTRICT
We, the undersigned, as owners of the property included within Tract Map 5996 hereby
request that the property be included within the Consolidated Maintenance District. This
request is in accordance with the requirements of Bakersfield Municipal Code Section
13.04.021.
Enclosed is a check in the amount of $1,520.00 to cover the costs of inclusion within
the Consolidated Maintenance District. Furthermore, our engineer will supply you with a
computer disk copy of the map for your use.
We also waive our right to any and all hearings in accordance with the Brown Act, the
Bakersfield Municipal Code, and/or any other law, concerning the formation of or
inclusion in the maintenance district. We have signed and are returning the enclosed
Proposition 218 ballot (Official Assessment Ballot) indicating our consent to the
assessment.

INCLUSION OF A SUBDIVISION IN A MAINTENANCE DISTRICT
Chapter 13.04 of the Bakersfield Municipal Code requires that your proposed development (ie. tentative
tract map, tentative parcel map or parcel map waiver) be included in a maintenance district to provide for future
maintenance of any landscaping in the public right-of-way. andlor public park..
At the time of an application for a tentative tract map, tentative parcel map, or pare. ~~ ~ p waive , u
are required to request that the property be included within the Consolidated Maintena a District and pay

information is provided by c~m~ter isk, the maintenance district application fee is 1,502.00 plus $3.00 per
lot. If a disk is not provided, the fee is $1,624 plus $13.00 per lot. This fee is in add ion to any other fees,r, such

as the subdivision application fee or plan checking fee. (Note: Fees are subject to change at an ~z-~~~~~;~~.~~w,-~ :y
If the proposed subdivision is already within the boundaries of the Consolidated Maintenance District,
then an apportionment fee will apply. For subdivisions of 6 or fewer lots, the apportionment fee will be $85.00.
For subdivisions of 7 or more lots, the apportionment fee ,will be $13.88 per lot. If a CAD disk is provided,
there will be no apportionment charge. This fee is in addition to any other fees, such as the subdivision
application fee or plan checking fee. (Note: Fees are subject to change at any time.)

Please submit your maintenance district letter of application, the appropriate fee and disc, if
applicable, to Marian. Shaw or Darrel Graves of the Public Works Department at the same time you
submit your subdivision application to the Planning Department. The Public Works Department is
>ated at 1501 Truztun Avenue, Bakersfield, CA.
Adding your subdivision to the Consolidated Maintenance District may run concurrently with the
processing of the subdivision application. However, the property must be within the maintenance district prior
to the final map being recorded. The process to include your property into the existing district requires three
