Applicant agrees that if this application is granted, applicant shall indemnify, defend, and hold harmless CITY, its officers, agents and
employees against any and all liability, claims, actions, causes of action or demands whatsoever against them, or any of them, before
administrative or judicial tribunals of any kind whatsoever, arising out of, connected with, or caused by applicant, or in any way arising
from, the terms and provisions of this permit or the placement, use (by applicant or any other person or entity) or maintenance of said
encroachment, whether or not caused in part by a party indemnified hereunder, except for CITY's sole active negligence or willful
misconduct, The applicant further agrees to maintain the aforesaid encroachment during the life of the said encroachment or until such
time that this permit is revoked.
Applicant further agrees that upon the expiration of the permit for which this application is made, if granted, or upon revocation thereof by
the City Engineer, applicant will at his own cost and expense remove the same from the public property or right of way where the same is
located, and restore said public property or right of way to the condition as nearly as that in which it was before the placing, erection,
maintenance or existence of said encroachment, .
Applicant further agrees to obtain and keep all liability insurance required by the City Engineer in full force and effect for however long
the encroachment remains. Applicant shall furnish the City Risk Manager with a certificate of issuance evidencing sufficient coverage for
bodily injury or property damage liability of both and required endorsements evidencing the insurance required.

Engineering and Traffic staff has reviewed the attached encroachment permit to allow the installation of
6' concrete and wrought iron wall. The site is located at 2216 17th Street.
The applicant has provided proof of appropriate insurance coverage to Risk Management, and has
provided signatures of all immediate neighbors stating that they have no objection to the proposed
construction,
Based on their review, staff recommends approval of the permit.

GENERAL
These drawings and their contents ore and remain the
property of W, Edward Blockley AlA, Architect, whether or
not the project for which they are mode is executed, They
are not to be used by any persons on other projects or
extensions to this project without express agreement and
appropriate compensation to the Architect.
The Contractor and all subcontractors ore responsible for
verification of 011 dimensions and conditions indicated on
these drawings, Any discrepancies shall be made known to the
Owner and Architect prior to commencing work,

These drawings are intended for use in a negotiated
construction contract. Therefore, these drawings do not
specifically detail nor indicate specific finishes, finish
materials, fixture models, hardware, and certain other
information necessary to complete the project,

SITE CLEARING
Protect existing improvements indicated to remain in
place,
Restore damaged improvements to their original condition,
as acceptable to property owners,
Protect existing trees and other vegetation indicated to
remain in place against unnecessary damage by cutting
breaking, skinning or smothering of roots, trunks and
branches of trees during construction.
Locations for existing improvements are approximate;
determine exact locations before commencing Work.
Remove trees, shrubs, grass, and other vegetation,
improvements, or obstructions, as required. Remove similar
items elsewhere as specifically indicated. Tree removal
includes stumps and roots.
Remove heavy growths of grass before stripping topsoil.
Stockpile topsoil in storage piles for use in landscaping,
Remove above and below-grade improvements as indicated,
Remove waste materials and or excess topsoil from
property.
EARTHWORK
Protect structures, utilities, pavements, etc, from damage
caused by earthwork operations.
Excavate to indicated elevations and dimensions + 0,10
foot.
Do not disturb bottom of excavation, Trim bottoms to
required lines and grades to leave solid base to receive
other work.
Excavate surfaces under walks and pavements to indicated
cross sections, elevations, and grades.
Under structures, building slabs, steps, and pavements, "
compact the top 12 inches below subgrade and each layer of ,\
backfill or fill material at 90 percent maximum dry density. I
Under lawn or unpaved areas, compact the top 6 inches
below subgrade and each layer of backfill or fill material
at 90 percent maximum dry density,
ASPHALT CONCRETE PAVING
Provide plant-mixed, hot-laid asphalt-aggregate mixture
complying with ASTM 0 3515. Place hot-mixed asphalt mixture
at minimum temperature of 225 deg F, Check surface after
breakdown rolling and repair by filling, if required.
Continue rolling until roller marks are eliminated and
course has attained 95 percent laboratory density.
Minimum Slope: 1/4 inch per foot. + 3/16 inch per 10 feet.
