ACCIDENT: 1) ALL HAZARDOUS MATERIALS. ARE STORED IN ONE LOCATION. THIS
HELPS IN THE KNOWLEDGE OF WHAT KINDS OF MATERIALS ARE PRESENT AT THE
LOCATION; 2} ALL CHEMICAL CONTAINER LABELS OR TAGS WILL BE KEPT LEGIBLE AND
IN PLACE DURING THE LIFE OF THE ITEM; AND 3) QUANTITIES OF HAZARDOUS
CHEMICALS SHALL BE KEPT TO A MINIMUM.

EIU HAS SET UP A HAZARDOUS SPILL CART THAT HAS THE ADVANTAGE OF MOBILE
PROTECTION. THIS CART IS EQUIPPED WITH A 20LB FIRE EXTINGUISHER, 20LB OF
SORBET, DUST. PAN, BROOM, GLOVES, APRON, AND SHOVEL. ONCE AN ACCIDENT HAS
OCCURED, THE CART CAN BE UTILIZED QUICKLY TO PREVENT SPILLAGE.
Clean Up 10/11/1999
THIS PROCESS OF CLEANING SMALL SPILLS WILL INVOLVE THE APPLICATION OF
SORBENT MATERIAL TO HELP PREVENT THE FURTHER SPREAD OF THE MATERIAL AND HELP
IN THE REMOVAL OF IT. ONCE CONTAINED, LARGE SPILLS WILL BE CLEANED UP BY A
HIRED COMPANY THAT WILL DISPOSE OF THE MATERIALS IN ACCORDANCE WITH FEDERAL,
STATE, AND LOCAL REGULATIONS.
