Mr. Underwood:
Upon our investigation of the site at Mendez Tire Shop, 701 Niles Street
Bakersfield, CA 93305, we found one 1500 gallon, one 2500 gallon, and
one 4000 gallon Wlderground storage tanks. We removed and properly
disposed of the tanks and backfilled the holes with clean filldirt. If you have

Regarding the property at the above-mentioned address: This office has
determined that the l,!nderground Storage Tanks were closed to pre-1984
standards using either sand or mud slurry.
This office considers these tanks to be properly closed. You will not be
required to take out any additional permits associated with this closure
