I am responding to your letter dated October 15, 1986._ I have_reviewed your
plans and specifications for both the Wilson and Real Rd. and Niles and Fairfax
~ Mart stores. . I will give my approval to the Wilson and Real Rd. store, but you
will need to contact the Kern County Fire Dept. for approval on the Niles and
Fairfax store.' ' ..
You will need to have someo-n.ecome in to mak.e an application 'for a permit to
have an above-ground wast oil tank. The fee for plans review: and final inspection
is $25.00, made out to the City of Bakersfield. . -
When the tank is comp 1eted, a ca 11 to our office 24 hours \ in "advance wi 11 be
needed for the final inspe!:tion; and the permit will be granted.- -I, highly, suggest
that a sign with the wording NOT TO BE USED FOR FLAMMABLE LIQUIDS be installed in
bold letters on-both sides of tank enclosure. '

If, in the future, it is found that compliance with the'requirements is not
adhered to, your permit wi 11 be revoked. -
