Dear Business Owner or Manager:
The Bakersfield Fire Department, Prevention Services Division is making some positive
changes that will affect your business, but will still provide afire-safe environment. The
correct completion of this form will replace the $96 annual inspection fee in most cases.
Our goal is to inspect the facilities that pose a greater fire risk, while providing oversight
and expertise to facilities with lesser risk.
• Please complete the Self-Certification Checklist (attached)
• If your business does not receive afull-scale inspection, you will receive an
annual bill for $31 for the Administration Fees of this Self-Certification
Program. Please do not send payment at this time.
• Mail your Self-Certification Checklist to:
