(AEC). The soil assessment was performed by AEC pursuant to verbal approval of the previously submitted work plan. The results of the assessment indicate that an unauthorized release of gasoline had occurred beneath the fuel dispenser. Soil beneath the former fuel dispenser is impacted with gasoline to a depth of approximately 35 feet below grade. -The gasoline additives, including Methyl Tertiary Butyl Ether (MTBE),~have impacted the soil to a depth of at least 55 feet below grade, perhaps further. Therefore, please prepare a Remedial Action Plan for review by this office which addresses the appropriate mitigation of the gasoline impacted soil. If you have any questions, please feel free to call me at (661) 326-3649. Sincerely, RALPH E. I have contacted Jim Peel at Cal Valley to determine what the procedure involves. It is my understanding that this measure allows me up to one year to either bring the tank up to current standards or remove same. I'll be waiting further instructions and I thank you for the consideration. My home phone is (661) 871-1183; Cell (661)343-1572. Rely, Phil B. Bradford Kern County Transportation Services Inc
