HomeMy WebLinkAboutRES NO 092-08RESOLUTION NO. ~ 9 ~' ~ 8 A RESOLUTION ESTABLISHING DOMESTIC WATER RATES FOR ASHE, FAIRHAVEN AND RIVERLAKES SERVICE AREAS. WHEREAS, Chapter 2.18 of the Bakersfield Municipal Code authorizes the City Council to establish fees and charges sufficient for the City to recover the costs of providing domestic water services; and WHEREAS, a public hearing before the City Council was advertised twice in the Bakersfield Californian, a newspaper of general circulation; and WHEREAS, a public hearing was held to determine whether the proposed fees and charges are discriminatory or excessive; and WHEREAS, the fees and charges set forth in Exhibit "A," attached hereto and incorporated by reference, do not exceed the reasonable estimated cost of providing the services for which the fees are charged. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF BAKERSFIELD AS FOLLOWS: 1. The foregoing recitals are incorporated herein by reference. 2. The fees and charges set forth in "Exhibit A," attached hereto and incorporated herein as if fully set forth, are hereby adopted and shall become effective on October 1, 2008. 3.
