AN ORDINANCE AMENDING BAKERSFIELD MUNICIPAL CODE
SECTIONS § 1.12.010 and § 1.12.060 BY ADDING ANNEXATION
NO. 558 TO WARD 1 and ANNEXATION NO. 586 TO WARD 6.
WHEREAS, the Local Agency Formation Commission (LAFCO) adopted a resolution
for Annexation Nos. 558 and 586 recently ordering the territories annexed to the City of Bakersfield;
and
WHEREAS, the territory ordered to be annexed to the City of Bakersfield is required
to be within a City Council Ward Boundary; and
WHEREAS, the LAFCO recently completed the annexations for the territory to the
City of Bakersfield, the exterior boundaries of which are described in the attached Exhibit "A" for
Annexation Nos. 558 and 586 shown in Exhibit "B", attached hereto and incorporated as though fully
set forth herein.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED by the Council of the City of Bakersfield as
follows:
Section 1.
All of the foregoing recitals are hereby found to be true and correct.
Section 2.
Annexation No. 558 shall be included in Ward 1.
Section 3.
Annexation No. 586 shall be included in Ward 6.
Section 4.
Sections 1.12.010 and 1.12.060 of the Bakersfield Municipal Code is hereby
amended by adding thereto the legal descriptions set forth in Exhibit "A".
Section 5.
This ordinance shall be posted in accordance with the Bakersfield Municipal
Code and shall become effective upon the annexation of the above-described territory to the City
of Bakersfield, but not less than thirty (30) days from and after the date of its passage.

Those portions of land located in the Northwest 1/a of Sections 1, Township 30 South,
Range 27 East, Mount Diablo Base and Meridian, in the County of Kern, State of
California, more particularly described as follows:
Parcel l
Beginning at the Northeast corner of Tract Map No. 1579, record on September 21, 1950,
in Book 7 of Maps, at Page 118, in the Office of Kern County Recorder, also being the
center line intersection of Terrace Way (County Road No 3081) and Delfmo Lane, and
said point being an angle point on the city corporate boundary and also being the TRUE
POINT OF BEGINNING;
Thence (1) North 00° 11' 35" East, along the city corporate boundary, a distance of
30.00 feet to a point on the North right of way line of said Terrace Way
(County Road No 3081);
Thence (2) Departing the city corporate boundary, South 89°54'40" East, along said
North right of way of Terrace Way (County Road No 3081), a distance of
30.00 feet to a point on the Northerly prolongation of the East right of way
line of said Delfmo Lane;
Thence (3) South 00°11'35" West, along said Northerly prolongation and East right
of way of Delfino Lane, a distance of 160.00 feet to a point on the Easterly
prolongation of the South line of Lot 4 of said Tract Map No. 1579;
Thence (4) North 89°54'40" West, along the said Easterly prolongation and South
