RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE FINANCE
DIRECTOR TO SELL SUPRLUS POLICE
DEPARTMENT EQUIPMENT
WHEREAS, the Bakersfield Police Department possesses surplus equipment
Including (1) Maxim M.G. 08 machine gun, serial #42342, manufactured at DWM in
Berlin 1918.
WHEREAS, the Bakersfield Police Department has removed all identifying
decals, markers, and stamps from such equipment; and,
WHEREAS, the California State Military Museum desires to buy the
aforementioned firearm for consideration of one dollar; and,
WHEREAS, the Bakersfield Police Department and the City of Bakersfield desire
to donate such surplus unmarked equipment to the California State Military Museum for
one dollar;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Bakersfield
as follows:
1. The above recitals and findings are true and correct and are incorporated herein
by reference.
2. The Finance Director, pursuant to Bakersfield Municipal Code section
3.20.120(f), is authorized to sell the above-referenced surplus equipment to the
California State Military Museum for the total amount of $1.00.
